Astrophysics Data System (ADS)
"The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) is a NASA-funded project whose main resource is an Abstract Service, which includes four sets of abstracts: 1) astronomy and astrophysics, containing abstracts; 2) instrumentation, containing 577,783 abstracts; 3) physics and geophysics, containing 877,721 abstracts; and 4) Los Alamos preprint server, containing 3,851 abstracts. Each dataset can be searched by author, object name (astronomy only), title, or abstract text words...In addition, we have extended the abstract service to include links to the full text of articles appearing in most of the major astronomical journals.

Beyond Discovery
The Path from Research to Human Benefit
"...is a series of articles that trace the origins of important recent technological and medical advances. Each story reveals the crucial role played by basic science, the applications of which could not have been anticipated at the time the original research was conducted."
Subjects include: Agriculture ; Biology ; Chemistry ; Earth Sciences ; Environmental Issues ; Health ; Mathematics ; Physics ; Technology.

Cornell University - Laboratory for Elementary-Particle Physics (LEPP)
"The F.R. Newman Laboratory for Elementary-Particle Physics (LEPP) is a research laboratory of the Cornell University Department of Physics engaged primarily in experimental and theoretical Elementary Particle Physics (EPP) and Accelerator Physics."

Doing Science: An Introduction to Physical Science (etext)
"This text concerns learning the fundamentals of physical science by doing science as science is done...This manual was developed to accompany a one semester introductory physical science course, Fundamentals of Physical Science (PHS 110), at Arizona State University."
By Susan Wyckoff, Dept. of Physics & Astronomy, Arizona State University

Optics Express
The International Electronic Journal of Optics
"...publishes original, peer-reviewed articles that report new developments of interest to the optics community in all fields of optical science and technology."

Phibot - Physics Index
"...phibot is a web-based experiment for collaborative information retrieval. We try to carry out an approach for query reformulation on a large scale internet search engine...In this experiment we want to investigate, if query reformulation improves the results of the search engine. We gather the users relevance feedback as well as the queries and the search results and constantly feed our search engine with this data. The whole process is fully automatic.
