• Duties

  • Providing reference services to clients, responding to referential, reality-demanding, etc questions verbally and via telephone, E-mail, website or online conversation
  • Helping researchers in finding researchers to carry out the concerned research
  • Teaching the user how to use the reference resources and holding educational courses
  • Identifying and choosing printed and electronic reference resources
  • Preparing brochure, guideline, topical bibliography and reference news
  • Providing current informing services and selective propagation of information via website, E-mail, board, etc
  • Providing consultation services to and guiding other libraries
  • Shelf-reading and controlling the stock based on the library’s need
  • Weeding old resources
  • Teaching apprentices
  • Arranging used resources
  • Sorting and periodic checking the resources from the perspective of arrangement
  • Cooperating in updating the home page of the reference unit on the library’s website
  • Preparing and compiling bylaws and editing old bylaws of the reference unit
  • Making annual report of participating in fairs
  • Participating in fairs
  • Carrying out other duties
